Molded by "God the Potter", glazed with diversity, we are God's vessels, filled with faith and commitment, empowered by the Spirit to be in mission locally and globally.

Pleasant Hills reaches out by participating in the Race for the Cure, through the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation. If you are a survivor or need some information you can contact: The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Northeast Ohio Affiliate at (216) 791-CURE(2873). Pleasant Hills participates in the You are Not Alone walk for Aids. There are many organizations to help with educating and supporting peoples with Aids/HIV. Please contact the church for more information.

Pleasant Hills supports and participates at the Parma Heights, and Middleburg Heights Food Pantries as well as The Nehemiah Mission of Cleveland. We also assist with the preparation and serving of community meals at Broadway United Methodist Church in Cleveland. We also send mission teams over the summer outside of Cleveland to help others in need.

To learn more about the missions of Pleasant Hills United Methodist Church, check out the pages below:

  • Broadway Missions

Pleasant Hills assists with the preparation and serving of community meals at Broadway United Methodist Church in Cleveland once a month.

  • Parma Heights Food Pantry

The pantry is open Mondays 9am – 12pm, Wednesdays 1-4pm, and Thursdays 5-7pm. The pantry serves those that are less fortunate in Parma Heights by providing fresh produce, non-perishable food, and household supplies.

  • Middleburg Heights Food Pantry

Serving the residents of Middleburg Heights, Middleburg Heights Food Pantry is one of the few client choice pantries in northern Ohio. Clients shop as they would in a grocery store and are able to follow their own dietary restrictions and preferences

  • Nehemiah Mission of Cleveland

The Nehemiah Mission of Cleveland rebuilds the lives and homes of the physically and fiscally challenged of Cleveland by providing services that improve living environments in order to sow seeds of hope for individuals and neighborhoods.

  • Change The World Day

What if...on one weekend all around the world, 11 million United Methodists came together to work in their local communities?

What if... we unite globally to fight a preventable, treatable disease that kills one child every 30 seconds?

  • Mission Trips

In recent summers we have sent teams to the Sower Mission in Southern Ohio, to Katrina Relief efforts in Mississippi, and to the Grand Rapids area for GRASP.

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry

Our Membership Care Ministry makes prayer shawls for distribution not only to our members, but to others recommended to the Pastor and members. Over 600 prayer shawls have been distributed.

  • UMCOR

The Global United Methodist Church runs this not-for-profit international humanitarian aid organization providing relief from hunger and disasters, and teaching peace. Through UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief), United Methodists across the world help to rebuild shattered lives, strengthen self-sufficiency, and encourage partnerships.
